Opportunity:
RN - Orthopedic/Joint Replacement
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts required with consideration for day/night rotation
• Rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1 or 5:1
• 22-bed unit
• Float to med-surg unit as needed
• Care for patients in an Orthopedic unit and Advanced Certified Joint Replacement Center including trauma and general medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications, assess and monitor patients, prep for surgical procedures, administer blood products, and provide patient education
• Work collaboratively with CNAs in a team-based approach
• Uphold specific quality metrics and standards for joint replacement patients
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred with medical-surgical or orthopedic experience as a bonus
• No on-call required
• Will never work alone
• Orientation to unit for 6-12 hours provided
• Cancellation policy: up to 12 hours every 13 weeks
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs, navy jacket if desired
• Required certifications: BLS
• Active RN license required
• BSN not required
• Local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles of facility not accepted

This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center and is recognized as an Advanced Certified Total Joint Replacement Center, maintaining specific quality metrics and standards for orthopedic patient care. The facility provides comprehensive services including orthopedic, trauma, and general medical-surgical care, supported by a collaborative team-based approach to patient care. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic health records system to ensure efficient and accurate documentation across all departments.
