Opportunity:

RN - M/S Tele-Neuro

Job Details:

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on day shift and 1:5 on night shift
• Float pool includes Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units, with potential to float within Zone 3 if extreme need arises
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday shifts required
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Set schedule communicated via established process from Nurse Manager
• Telemetry monitoring available 24/7 with tele techs; RN co-signs strips
• Required to titrate drips including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control
• Experience with cardiac drips and post cath lab required
• Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, HFNC, and NRB
• Common patient diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Navy blue to Caribbean blue scrubs required for RNs
• BSN not required
• Valid state license required for submission
• Must be in state for full week of orientation
