Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Night shift position in a combined MICU, CSICU, and NTICU setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• 12-bed MICU, 24-bed CSICU, and 24-bed NTICU units
• Self-scheduling available
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• First to float between all ICU floors and lower acuity units as needed, with potential floating within Zone 3 if extreme need arises
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
• Required to read own telemetry strips using Philips monitors
• Operate and work with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
• Perform 12-lead EKGs
• Care for patients with respiratory distress, DKA, renal failure, surgical post-op cases, non-STEMI, cardiac surgical cases (TAVR, CABG), stroke, neuro, trauma, and medical ICU populations
• General critical care experience required
• 1 year of trauma/surgical and neuro critical care experience preferred
• Must be flexible, adaptable, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Valid state license required for submission
• Must be in-state for week of orientation
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius; driver's license must be submitted

The facility features 24/7 respiratory therapy and intensivist coverage, ensuring continuous support for critically ill patients. The organization maintains a collaborative care environment with dedicated critical care technicians and hospitalists available in-house to support the nursing staff.
