The Operating Room X-Ray Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services during surgical procedures. This role ensures accurate and timely diagnostic imaging to assist surgeons and medical staff in delivering optimal patient care. The OR X-Ray Technologist works collaboratively with the surgical team, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and sterile techniques.

Job Details

- Equipment: GE OEC & Medtronic O-arm
- Schedule: Sat, Sun, Mon: 7:00am -7:30pm (36 hours) + call
- Pay: $2,710 weekly gross (eligible for benefits)

The Operating Room X-Ray Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services during surgical procedures. This role ensures accurate and timely diagnostic imaging to assist surgeons and medical staff in delivering optimal patient care. The OR X-Ray Technologist works collaboratively with the surgical team, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and sterile techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intraoperative imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and portable X-rays, as requested by the surgical team.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and hospital policies.
- Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to meet imaging needs during procedures.
- Verify patient identity and procedure details to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate records in the electronic health system.
- Assist in troubleshooting and reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols in the OR environment.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with imaging technology and best practices.
