Description

Cath Lab Tech Opportunity

Location: Bakersfield, California
Facility: Memorial Hospital

Job Details

Contract Length: 16 weeks
Certifications Required:
- ARRT
- Fluoroscopy
- BLS
Experience:
- Must have current cath lab experience
- Comfortable with conscious & moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management
- Experience with cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors) and balloon pumps

Job Description

Cases are performed with 2 techs:
- 1 tech scrubs in
- 1 tech monitors hemodynamics and other parameters
RN provides conscious sedation
Occasionally a 4th person (RN or tech) may assist depending on the case
A Lead Tech manages room assignments

Skills & Procedures

STEMI receiving facility
Cardiac/Coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention

Facility & Workload

5 suites/labs:
- 2 suites primarily for coronary cases
- 1 suite for peripheral cases
- 1 suite for vascular & neuro cases
- 1 suite for EP cases
Average cases per day: 10-22

Call & Scheduling

Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases approximately 1x/week
Weekend call approximately 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning)
Shifts are 10 or 12 hours, every other weekend (EOW)
May be first to float as needed

Additional Information

No first-time travelers accepted
Agency provides traveler with radiation badge
