Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Facility: Hillcrest Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation – Radiology
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 8 hours each (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Monday through Friday
• Alternating weeks of 2 shifts and 3 shifts
• No call and no weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Siemens system experience required (Siemens Aera/Skyra/Sola)
• Procedures include Neuro, Body, MSK, and Breast scans
• Credentials: ARRT (MR), BLS
• Must have or be willing to obtain Ohio state license
• Travelers must complete two fingerprinting processes (one onsite, one through agency)

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA preferred, RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred) – required for all candidates
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable (AHA preferred)
• State License verification (Ohio radiology license not required for MRI techs)
• National certification/verification prior to start and upon expiration
• Annual competency exam specific to unit
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment (updated annually)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year, confirming ability to perform job safely
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific approved masks required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months, with annual TB symptom assessment
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel + Nicotine drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 31 – Mar 31)

Background & Compliance

• Criminal background check (7-year FCRA compliant) prior to start; updated if break in service ≥ 2 months
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar specialty
• Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
• Transcript or diploma required for all candidates
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months, with agency and onsite components; must be completed promptly especially for pediatric patient assignments

Facility Specific Onboarding

• Completion of online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start, must be done on a computer using Chrome
• Modules include mandatory viewing of training videos before tests
• Badge pickup on first day for X-Ray and MRI techs; others must pick up badge after module completion
• TB test results required to complete onboarding modules
• Fingerprinting onsite required for candidates working with pediatric patients as part of onboarding

This position offers a structured schedule with no weekends or call, requires specific Siemens MRI experience, and involves comprehensive credentialing and health compliance consistent with Cleveland Clinic standards.
