Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Details

• Shift: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
• On-Call:

  • 7 days on call (Monday–Sunday), then 7 days off
  • Call hours: Monday–Friday = 14.5 hours, Saturday–Sunday = 24 hours
  • Weekends: on call every other weekend (EOW) based on current needs
  • Holidays: at least one holiday call if it falls within the contract
• Experience: Prior Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required; Neuro IR experience highly preferred
• Systems: EPIC experience preferred
• Flexibility: May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ARRT RT (Radiologic Technologist)
• ARRT VI (Vascular Interventional Radiography)
• Wisconsin Radiographer License (current and valid)

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Ascension Specialty Exam: Completed prior to first assignment; updated every 3 years; minimum 80% passing score; max 2 attempts
• Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within 1 year of start; updated yearly; minimum 80% score; max 2 attempts
• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist; completed within 1 year of start; updated annually
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start; includes testing for 12 specified drugs; must include MRO review if applicable
• Ascension Criminal Background Check: Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender; completed within 30 days of first assignment; updated annually or if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension EPLS (Excluded Parties List System): Run within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Education Verification: Verification of relevant education within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Employment Verification: Third-party employment verification for past 7 years; updated annually or if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment: Provided upon initial assignment and updates upon extension; must be on agency letterhead with accurate dates

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; no declinations accepted
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
• Fit Test: Required annually; preferred prior to start; specific mask types required for WI and MI
• TB Testing: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire; 2-step PPD or IGRA within 90 days of start
• Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment; updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background (no alterations or filters)
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired; address must match licensing requirements)
• Resume/Profile submission required
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Completion of Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation prior to start

This position requires a highly qualified Interventional Radiology Technician with strong clinical skills, flexibility for on-call and floating duties, and full compliance with health, licensing, and credentialing requirements.
