Job Overview

Key Requirements

  • Licensing & Certifications:

    • Active Arizona RN license required at time of submission (verification must be less than 30 days old).
    • Certifications must be from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, active upon submission and included.
    • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA).
    • No license hits allowed.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 24 months of current CVICU experience required.
    • Travel experience preferred.
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license will not be considered.
    • Must submit a fully completed Banner Cover Page.
    • Resume must include all facilities, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units worked.
    • Skills checklist specific to the discipline, dated within the last year.
    • Flu vaccination status must be included in submission notes; declinations can be applied for.
    • Must adhere to Banner’s specific background and compliance requirements.
  • Return to Office (RTO) Policy:

    • RTO requests must be less than 7 days.
    • RTO will not be approved during the first week of assignment or on holidays.

Facility Highlights

  • Level I Adult Trauma Center (patients 15 and older).
  • Newly expanded with state-of-the-art surgical suites, heart and vascular center, and a 200-bed patient tower with all-private rooms.
  • Provides comprehensive trauma care including treatment for severe injuries such as car crashes, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, and traumatic brain injuries.

Additional Notes

  • Learning modules must be completed prior to assignment start.
  • Non-billable hours are adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
  • Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.
  • Candidates must be pre-closed and ready to accept the assignment.
  • All shifts, departments, and locations the candidate is willing to work must be clearly listed in the submission.
