Unit Details

• Operating Room (OR)
• 3 suites total:

  • 2 OR rooms, 5 days per week
  • 3 OR rooms, 3 days per month
• Cases per day: 20 to May (likely a typo, assume 20+ cases per day)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

• Urology
• Gynecology
• Plastics
• Facial Plastics

Experience / Skills

• Circulating experience in a fast-paced environment required
• Scrubbing preferred but not required for RNs

Team Structure

• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Lead Surgical Tech and Manager
• No OR techs assigned

EMR System

• Cerner

Shifts & Scheduling

• 5x8 hour shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM
• Typical day: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Scheduling managed by department manager and released one month in advance
• No call required (weeknights, weekends, or holidays)

Floating

• May be asked to float to main hospital or freestanding surgery center if census is low

Dress Code

• Scrub color and dress code provided

Orientation

• 2 days unit-specific orientation
• Shift options: 5x8 hour OR 4x10 hour shifts
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Minimum 36 hours guaranteed per week
