Job Details

• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH)
• Shift: Nights, flexible as needed
• Experience Required:

  • 3+ years previous travel experience, OR
  • 5+ years experience in a large Emergency Department without travel experience
• EPIC experience required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NIH Certification (updated yearly for Group A, every 2 years for Groups B-F)
• Ascension MOAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (EPIC training and test)
• Ascension Specialty Exam (updated every 3 years)
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• License/Certificate Verification

Required Onboarding & Competency Requirements

• Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within 1 year, updated yearly)
• Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed)
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
• Ascension Nova StatStrip (pre-hire modules)
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, updated annually
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required for flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Positive PPD/Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire (optional but recommended)
• Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within 90 days of start
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted

Professional Documentation & Verification

• Driver's License/State ID (must be current and match address requirements)
• Resume/Profile submission required
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others (completed within 30 days of first assignment, updated annually)
• EPLS (Exclusionary Provider List System) check within 90 days of start
• Education Verification (within 90 days of start)
• Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually)
• Confirmation of Assignment documentation required upon initial assignment and updates with extensions
• Ascension Badge Photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters)

Additional Notes

• Must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified for BLS, PALS, ACLS
• Must complete all required onboarding and competency exams with minimum passing scores
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on skill set and need
• Compliance with all health, immunization, and professional verification requirements is mandatory prior to start
