Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Florence, South Carolina

Position Details
- Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Days: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Floating: Required within scope to all hospital areas including labor and delivery
- Floating to Sister Facilities: No
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience (RRT only, no CRT)
- Licensure: South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license required at start
- Certifications: Must have BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) certifications at start
- First-timers: Not accepted
- Radiation Badge: Not required for this role
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be willing to travel)
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated

- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
- Must be able to complete all required orientation modules prior to start
- Must upload COVID and flu vaccination documentation or complete declination forms as applicable
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- Annual background check covering last 7 years, including SSN trace, state and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, and international searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education Verification: Not required for this facility
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Performance Evaluation: Must be dated within 12 months of start
- Work History Verification: Not required for this facility
- Physical Exam: Initial and annual physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations & Health Requirements:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season or medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- COVID vaccine not required but highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- Respirator Clearance: Annual medical clearance required for respirator use via RespSafety questionnaire
- Certifications: Must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo required
Orientation & Facility Specifics
- Completion of First Day Instructions (FDI) and OurDay modules required before orientation
- Modules take approximately 4 hours for this location
- Must upload vaccination records (COVID, flu) into OurDay platform
- Various signed agreements and acknowledgments required prior to start (e.g., HIPAA, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement)
