Job Opportunity: Radiology Technician
Location: Round Rock, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Must have ARRT (CT) certification
- Must hold a Texas Medical Board (TMB) license
- Must have current BLS certification (AHA required)
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center preferred
- Familiarity with Siemens Definition and X-Cite 128 slice CT scanners
Onboarding & Credentialing Requirements
Professional Credentials
- Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Resume/Profile submission required
- At least two professional references required prior to first assignment
- Criminal background check including SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, and national sex offender registry (updated annually or after break in service > 90 days)
- Employment verification for the past 7 years (updated annually or after break in service > 90 days)
- Education verification relevant to clinical work (completed within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days)
- Completion of specialty and core competency exams prior to first assignment and updated regularly (minimum 80% passing score)
- Skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Confirmation of assignment documentation required upon initial assignment and extensions
Certifications & Training
- BLS (AHA) certification required for onboarding
- Completion of Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics (updated yearly)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit test required (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing within specified timeframes, with annual TB questionnaire updates
- Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Valid Tdap vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter; retesting required after break in service > 90 days
Identification
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must match records)
Facility & Equipment
- Level II Trauma Center environment
- Use of Siemens Definition and X-Cite 128 slice CT scanners
