Job Opportunity: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Resource Float Pool RN position
• Must be willing to float to all Medical-Surgical units
• Also required to float to a nearby facility approximately 9.5 miles away
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for RNs working in CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, SICU
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale): Required
• License/Certificate Verification: Must be dated within 30 days of start; state verification required (NURSYS for RNs and LPNs)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Fit Test
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days of start, preferred within 14 days; must include specific substances (no THC)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of booster by September 2025, or declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
• Influenza Vaccine: Proof of vaccine, declination, or exemption for current flu season (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
• Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start; titers not accepted
• Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab report
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): TB screening with chest x-ray if positive (within last year for some states, within 5 years for others)
• Physical/Health Statement: Documentation from exam within last year confirming fitness to work
• Tdap: Current, non-expired vaccine required; declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• Trinity Code of Conduct Form: Signed and on file
• Trinity I9: Completed by agency
• Confidentiality & Security Agreement: Signed form required
• Integrity and Audit Services Form: Signed shortly before start
• Non-Employee Upload Form: Completed and uploaded (specific pages required)
• Specialty Specific Competency Testing: Copy of specialty exam completed within the last year
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form: Signed and on file
• Criminal Background Check: Federal, nationwide, county checks for last 7 years; SSN verification; dated within 30 days of start
• Education Verification: Highest academic degree or diploma verified by third party screening
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System): Report dated within past 30 days
• GSA/OIG Exclusion Check: Report dated within past 30 days
• Joint Commission CORE Exam: Completed within last year
• NSO (National Sex Offender) Check: Dated within 30 days of start; includes aliases and locations
• System Access Form: Completed and uploaded one week before start
• Skills Checklist: Provided by agency for clinical contractors
• Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training: Required for Iowa assignments
• Iowa Sing Report: Criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry check required within 30 days prior to start
• OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Sanctions Check: Completed within 30 days of start
