Registered Nurse (RN) - Temporary Position

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Job Description

• Provide and manage patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team using the nursing process.
• Patient population: Non-invasive cardiology procedures.
• Unit details:

  • Bed size: 2 procedure bays, 3 pre/post procedure bays
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3
• Work schedule: 36-40 hours/week billable OT; OT billable after 40 hours/week.
• Holiday requirements: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving).
• Time off restrictions: Limit of 1 day off request between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in Cardiac, Cath, or Vascular nursing.
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Experience with TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) and Cardioversion required.
• Must have completed a skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA).
• Valid Iowa nursing license (Compact license allowed).

• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the last 2 years of employment/contract.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
