Job Opportunity: RN CVOR (Travel)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Specialty: Cardiac Nurse (CVOR)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Must be able to staff heart and lung transplants.
- Ability to scrub is a plus.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS (American Heart Association only)
- Valid permanent RN license (Temporary licenses NOT accepted)
- License/Certificate Verification (Primary source verification within 30 days of start, updated every 2 years)
Required Health & Immunizations
- MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or booster protocol as specified
- Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or booster protocol as specified
- Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series with declination, or positive titers within 15 years
- Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or approved declination with mask-wearing and specific forms
- Fit Test: Completed within 1 year of start (specific mask types accepted)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Negative test within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required
- Physical/Health Statement: Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year stating ability to work without restrictions
Background & Verification Requirements
- Criminal Background Check: Within 6 months, including Social Security Trace, County searches, National Sex Offender check
- Ohio Fingerprints: Required (BCI&I check and FBI fingerprint check depending on residency duration)
- Education Verification: Highest level verified through third-party; international education requires equivalency documentation
- Employment Verification: Verification of employment within last 5 years through third-party
- OIG Search: Completed within 6 months prior to start
- SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC Screening: Completed within 6 months prior to start
- Drug Screen: 10-panel urine drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screens not accepted
- I-9 Attestation: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Competency & Training Requirements
- UHS Competency Exam: Must score at least 80%, completed within 1 year prior to start
- UHS Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics; 80% passing score required
- UHS Skills Checklist: Clinical skill-specific checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (initial hire only)
- UHS Module Completion Certificate: Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance; annual renewal required
Additional Requirements
- Driver's License/State ID: Non-expired, required for submission
- UHS Badge Photo: Recent headshot (shoulders up, plain background, JPEG format)
- Submission Packet: Resume, 2 professional references (within last 2 years), job application, and employment history form specific to the hospital system
This position requires thorough compliance with all credentialing, health, and background verification standards prior to onboarding.
