MRI Technologist Travel Opportunity - Washington (Silverdale)

Job Overview

  • Specialty: MRI Technologist
  • Location: Silverdale, Washington
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Department: Radiology - MRI
  • Shifts: Varying; typical example Mon-Fri 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Weekend Requirement: Not required but can volunteer
  • Holiday Requirement: Participate in holiday rotation
  • Call/Standby: Participate in standby rotation

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 full years of MRI experience
  • Active BLS certification (Healthcare provider level)
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist License with MRI designation (required effective 7/24/2025)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
    • ARMRIT certification alone does not meet requirements
    • ARMRIT holders must also pass ARRT MRI boards to qualify
  • If certified in Radiology (R) or CT through ARRT, must have or acquire WA state license
  • N95 fit testing required
  • IV skills required

Licensure & Certification Notes

  • Must hold WA Radiologic Technologist license with MRI designation by 7/24/2025
  • Travelers must download and upload official WA license showing MRI designation
  • ARRT MRI certification preferred and eligible for pay incentive
  • MRI certification pay incentive available

Department & Equipment

  • Number of MRI scanners: 2 at main hospital, 3 at outpatient clinics
  • Equipment used:
    • Main Hospital: GE 1.5T & 3T
    • Outpatient Clinics: Philips, Hitachi
  • EMR/PACS systems: EPIC and Sectra PACS
  • Radiology aides assist MRI technologists
  • Radiologist available in-house

Job Duties & Imaging Types

  • Imaging studies include: Brain, Neck, Spine, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis, Breast, Cardiac, Prostate, MSK
  • Imaging patients with implanted devices, including researching device compatibility prior to imaging
  • Experience with Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI, and Breast Biopsy MRI encouraged but not required
  • Average scans per day: ~28
  • May be required to float or cover other areas depending on operational needs

Orientation & Dress Code

  • Department-specific orientation provided
  • Personal scrubs required; hospital scrubs only provided to OR staff

This position is ideal for MRI technologists who meet Washington state licensure requirements and are comfortable working varied shifts with a focus on advanced MRI imaging in a hospital and outpatient setting.
