MRI Tech Position - Fremont, California

Job Details

Specialty: MRI Tech
Location: Fremont, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Certifications & Requirements

ARRT certification (California)
BLS certification required
Siemens MRI experience preferred

Department & Equipment

MRI Mobile Unit
Equipment includes GE X-ray and Siemens MRI
Uses Centricity software for tracking
Lead tech available 24/7
No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA)
Radiologist in-house during the day until 6 pm; after hours coverage is external

Job Duties & Scope

Imaging studies primarily of head, abdomen, and pelvis
Will not assist with procedures
May float/cover X-ray and CT if qualified
No IV starts required

Scheduling & Work Environment

8-hour shifts
Shifts scheduled by manager (no self-scheduling)
Weekend work required (specifics vary by shift)
Holiday work requires flexibility
No call or standby requirements
Scrubs: Ceil blue, not provided but some available at hospital
Orientation includes a unit tour and one week of training
Must be flexible and adaptable to department needs
Typical MRI shifts Thursday through Monday evenings
