Description

Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location:
Mayfield Heights, Ohio

Specialty:
Radiology / Cardiology

Shift Details:

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (0630 AM - 7 PM)
  • Scheduled Friday through Sunday

Contract Length:
13 weeks


Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Siemens system experience required (Siemens Aera, Skyra, Sola)
  • Procedures/Scans: Neuro, Body, MSK, Breast
  • Credentials/Licensure:
    • ARRT (MR) certification
    • BLS certification (AHA only, RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred)
    • Must have or be willing to obtain Ohio state license (Ohio radiology license not required for MRI techs)
  • Must complete two fingerprinting processes:
    • One onsite at the facility on the first day
    • One through the agency prior to start

Certifications & Compliance

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only, as applicable
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA only, as applicable
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA only, as applicable
  • National Certification/Verification prior to start and upon expiration
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (updated annually)
  • State License Verification (primary source verification prior to start and upon expiration)
  • Competency Exam: Unit-specific, required within 12 months of start and updated annually

Background & Documentation

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (required monthly)
  • Transcript/Diploma verification
  • Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area
  • Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
  • Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint result attestation (completed within 12 months and updated annually)

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (must be done prior to start; onsite testing not accepted)
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray if prior positive, plus annual TB symptom assessment
  • Required immunizations or titers with official documentation for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually (dilute results allowed one retest; instant drug screens not accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); declinations not accepted

Facility-Specific Onboarding

  • Completion of online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours, must be completed on a computer using Chrome)
  • Badge pickup on first day for X-Ray and MRI techs; other specialties must have badge on file prior to start
  • Fingerprinting at facility on first day in addition to agency fingerprinting

This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced Siemens MRI systems in a reputable healthcare setting with a structured onboarding and compliance process. Candidates must be prepared to meet all licensure, certification, and health requirements prior to starting the assignment.
