Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Espanola, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension to 26 weeks)
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied

Job Summary

Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for hospital and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and ventilatory support. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Varied shifts; no guaranteed block scheduling
• On call, weekends, and holidays required
• Floating to alternate locations within 20 miles may be required
• Assignments may fluctuate to meet department staffing needs
• Traveling in pairs does not guarantee same schedules or shifts

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in adult critical care, progressive care, medical surgical care, and general pediatrics

Education Requirements

• Associate’s degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care

Required Certifications & Licenses

• New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
• PALS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
• NALS or NRP certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)

Preferred Skills

• EPIC experience (training available on-site)

Additional Notes

• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
