Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Mesquite, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for a long-term assignment. The position involves day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours).

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid RN License
• BSN degree preferred
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification preferred
• Experience with postpartum and vaginal examinations is a plus
• Experience with COVID-19 patients
• Charting system experience: EPIC
• Scrubs color: Navy or Royal Blue

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start
• Annual fit test for respirator mask
• National criminal background check within one year of start date (specific state exceptions apply)
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) or agency attestation
• COVID-19 vaccination: 2 vaccines plus booster or completed declination
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement)
  • TB test within one year of start date
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity titer
  • Tdap vaccine (declinations not accepted at some locations)
