Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 5/2 split schedule (5 days on, 2 off, 2 on, 5 off)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Facility Type: Large Level I trauma center with high volume OR and fluoroscopy cases
• Work Areas: ED, Inpatient, Outpatient, OR, portables (floating within scope)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend required
• On-Call: No
• Locals Accepted: Within 25-mile radius
• Time Off Requests: No holiday weeks off; requests must be submitted ahead of time, preferably during interview
• Travel Pairs: Allowed but cannot request the same schedule

Experience & Certifications

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not accepted for first-timers (first-timers not accepted)
• Special Requirements:

  • Extensive OR experience required, including O-Arm
  • Experience with GE/Siemens X-ray equipment preferred
  • Hospital experience preferred, ideally in a large volume hospital
• Certifications Required:

  • ARRT Certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP, TNCC) depending on unit

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Federal and international searches required
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Licenses:

  • State License primary source verification required
  • NURSYS verification for RNs
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within last 12 months
  • Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Hepatitis A (for select units), Flu vaccine (required during flu season or approved exemption)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Drug screening (9 or 10 panel) within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Other Documentation:

  • Photo for badge (recent, plain background, shoulders up)
  • Fit testing for respiratory protection
  • Parking form completion required
  • References: 2 professional references within 2 years for travel positions
  • Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• No requests off during Christmas week
• Must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected
• No pending licenses accepted

This position is ideal for experienced Radiology/Cardiology professionals with strong OR skills and hospital experience, ready to work in a fast-paced Level I trauma center environment on a travel contract basis.
