ICU Travel Nurse Opportunity
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 16 weeks (approximately 4 months)

Job Details
- Assignment up to 32 weeks available
- Urgent need with ASAP start
- Work in a large (500+ bed) teaching hospital setting
- Float between Surgical ICU (SICU) and Medical ICU (MICU) as needed
- Schedule flexibility required, including working a minimum of every other weekend
- Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day
- No block schedules; shifts Monday through Sunday
- Bi-weekly orientations available
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (higher years of experience requirement confirmed)
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience in a large teaching facility required
- Current certifications:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)
- CCRN preferred
- Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
- Hemodynamic device experience preferred
- Experience with patient populations including post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow MICU patients
- Complete and detailed work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
- Must be flexible with schedule adjustments to meet unit and patient care needs
Additional Information
- Scrub color: Any solid color
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible
- Personal or rental vehicle recommended
- Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April
This position is ideal for ICU nurses with solid critical care experience, prior travel assignments, and flexibility in scheduling who want to work in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment.
