X-ray Tech Travel Opportunity
Location: Silverdale, Washington
Specialty: X-ray Tech
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-ray Tech
- Active ARRT (R) certification
- Active Washington State License (must have license in hand at time of submittal)
- Current BLS certification
- Must have own lead markers
- Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment
Department & Work Details
- Department: Radiology/X-ray
- 4 general X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms
- Float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portables
- Perform all General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and OR exams
- Average 80-100 studies per 24-hour period
- EMR system: EPIC
- PACS system: SECTRA
- Equipment includes GE general X-ray rooms, Shimadzu X-ray room, GE Fluoroscopy room, GE portables, OEC C-Arms
- Radiologist on site 24/7
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA)
- IV starting not required but skills are useful
Scheduling & Shifts
- Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, days and nights
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
- Weekend shifts vary: some every weekend, some every other weekend depending on needs
- Holiday work required if scheduled
- Occasional on-call with a 45-minute response time
Orientation & Dress Code
- Department-specific orientation typically lasts 3 days
- Scrubs: Any professional color allowed; hospital scrubs provided only for OR staff
Additional Notes
- Must be able to float and cover multiple areas within the department
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
