Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Specialty: Med Surg Acute Rehab RN
Patient Populations: Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputation, Hip Fracture, Brain Injury, Neuro Disorders, Orthopedics (multiple trauma), Disability
Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 5:00 AM)
Weekend Shifts: Some weekend shifts, up to every other weekend
Travel Radius: 60 mile radius rule
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first time travelers accepted)
Orientation: Biweekly orientation on Mondays
Licensure: Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
Dress Code: Any color scrubs, professional appearance, child-friendly print tops allowed, scrub/lab coat allowed
Facility Policy: Nicotine-free campus

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
Preferred: CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse)
ACLS, PALS as applicable by specialty
State License verification required prior to start
NURSYS verification required prior to start

Additional Requirements

Background checks including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3 (updated annually)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start
Physical exam within last 12 months
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within last year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (vaccines or positive titers required; exemptions apply for candidates born before 1957)
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
Professional references: Minimum 2 professional references within past 3 years
