Job Opportunity: Radiology Technician (Travel)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have at least 1 year of hospital-based diagnostic x-ray experience and surgery training.
• Work involves call shifts based on department needs, currently 3rd shift call (2300-0600/2300-0700), 2 days per pay period (1 per week).
• Call schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) or every 3rd weekend based on need, with rotating holidays.
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
• Must hold a valid Wisconsin license.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be AHA certified.
• ARRT Certification (optional but preferred).
• Current state license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.

Required Compliance & Onboarding

• Completion of HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within one year of start, updated yearly (minimum 80% score).
• Ascension Core Competencies and Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation required.
• Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form completed onsite.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
• Fit Test (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+) updated annually.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
• Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire.
• Two-step PPD or IGRA testing within specified timeframes.
• Varicella immunity documentation or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
• Annual health statement or physical exam.

Background & Verification Requirements

• Driver’s License/State ID valid and matching address requirements.
• Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile).
• Two professional references prior to first assignment.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 30 days of assignment start.
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start.
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Confirmation of assignment documentation.

Drug Screening

• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually. Includes testing for Amphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana, PCP, Methamphetamine, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Buprenorphine, Methadone, Oxycodone, Morphine, and Ecstasy. Must include MRO review for prescriptions or negative-dilute results.
