Description

Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dover, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract


Position Requirements

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Certification:
    • Registered X-Ray Technologist (ARRT) required
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Required Credentials and Certifications

  • Licenses:
    • Valid government-issued photo ID required at all times
    • State license primary source verification required within 30 days of start
    • Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start, updated annually
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, preferred non-RQI
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for PICU & Pediatric Stepdown (preferred but not required for PACU)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for L&D, OB/GYN, NICU
    • Other certifications such as TNCC, Chemotherapy, NIH Stroke Certification may be preferred or required depending on unit
  • Competency Exams:
    • Unit-specific competency exams required within 12 months of start and updated annually
    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable

Background and Health Requirements

  • Background Checks:
    • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start and updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly
    • Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually
  • Health Documents:
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
    • Fit mask test (3M N95) within 12 months of start, updated annually
    • Immunizations and titers required: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months (for X-ray Techs and related roles)
    • Drug screening (standard 10-panel) within 12 months, updated annually
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Documentation and Compliance

  • Two satisfactory pre-employment references within 1 year of start required (from manager, supervisor, or director; co-worker references not accepted)
  • Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar specialty
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually
  • Completion of facility-specific onboarding modules and orientation prior to start (must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome)
  • Various facility-specific checklists and acknowledgements to be completed on day 1 of orientation

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must carry a valid government-issued photo ID at all times during assignment
  • Fingerprinting results must be on file prior to contract extension
  • Physical exam documentation must include physician or lab address
  • Candidates with latex allergies must notify facility to ensure availability of latex-free gloves
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
