Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, Every Other Week (EOW)
Start Date: ASAP
Position Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent RRT experience required
- Pediatric Experience: Must have pediatric (PEDS) experience
- Travel Experience: Recent travel experience preferred (not strictly required)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with proof of certification
- Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license required
- Education: Copy of diploma or associate degree program with RRT credentials required
- Technical Skills: Epic experience required
Documentation & Compliance Requirements
- Identification & Legal:
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Social Security Card
- Proof of I9 and E-Verify or attestation
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check within a year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education Verification:
- Copy of associates diploma/transcripts with major in RRT or verification of diploma
- Licenses:
- Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license required
- Certifications Verification:
- ARRT certification for Respiratory Care Professional
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
- N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (3M N95, specific sizes)
- Tdap vaccine required (no declinations accepted; exemptions require approval)
- Negative TB test (Qgold/Tspot within 3 months) or chest X-ray if positive TB history
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Hepatitis B: Proof of positive titer or declination
- Flu vaccine mandatory for current season (no exemptions accepted)
- Drug testing: 10 panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) within 60 days of start
- Competency Exams:
- Pediatric Pharmacology competency exam required
- General competency exam required
- References & History:
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Complete application/resume
- Updated skills checklist for applicable unit (annual)
- Orientation & Safety:
- Proof of OSHA, HIPAA & Joint Commission annual training or signed attestation
Additional Notes
- Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) days; must be included on submission
- Confidentiality and Security Agreement must be signed prior to start
- Facility-specific documents and instructions will be sent directly to the traveler before start date
This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with pediatric expertise looking for a travel contract in a pediatric healthcare setting with night shifts and every other week scheduling.
