Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Schedule & Work Details
- Shift: Days, 06:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Call Responsibility: One 8-hour shift every 2 weeks
- Call Times: Weekdays (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM), Weekends (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM)
Requirements
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- ARRT certification required
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit or specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, CPI) — verify based on assignment specifics
Background & Compliance Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 60 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 30 days of start and updated every 30 days
- HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated every 30 days
- Education verification through a 3rd party vendor (official transcripts required)
- Abuse registry search required for certain units (e.g., Behavioral Health)
- Fingerprinting may be required depending on unit
- State-specific fingerprinting and child abuse registry checks for Behavioral Health candidates
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (no declinations or exemptions allowed)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray with 2-step PPD required
- Annual TB questionnaire if past positive
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B: Positive Hep B Surface Antibody titer required or specific antigen titer protocol
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or titer required; declination required if titer negative
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen including marijuana and fentanyl, within 2 months of start and updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Completion of various forms prior to start (e.g., professional appearance guidelines, release authorization, TB screening, traveler compliance)
- Fit testing required for patient-facing clinical roles, completed onsite if required
- Pass/Fail cardiac rhythm assessment during orientation for adult inpatient RN positions and Mother-Baby units
- Acknowledgment of pass/fail testing required for certain nursing roles
Additional Notes
- Radiation badges for new candidates are not provided by the agency; new hires must obtain badges from the client facility
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
- Performance evaluations and skills checklists may be required if previously employed with the agency
