Travel RN CVOR Opportunity - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Position Details

• Specialty: RN CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Employment Type: Travel
• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts with a set day off
• Call: Based on department needs; currently 2-3 days per week including rotating weekends and holidays
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years CVOR experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have prior travel experience)
• Additional Skills: EPIC experience required
• Flexibility: May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start

Required Health and Compliance Credentials

• Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; updated yearly)
• Ascension EKG Exam (passing score required)
• MMR vaccination or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test (annual requirement)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
• TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Health Statement or physical exam (updated annually)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 30 days prior to start
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years; no declinations accepted)
• 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start; includes MRO review)

Required Professional Documentation

• Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile)
• Two professional references prior to first assignment
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (updated annually)
• EPLS check (within 90 days of start)
• Skills checklist (clinical, updated annually)
• Education verification (within 90 days of start)
• Confirmation of assignment documentation
• Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually)
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be current and valid)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of Ascension onboarding requirements and education attestations
• Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding onsite
• Ascension Nova StatStrip training
• Ascension Epic Test-Out with signed attestation and passing score
• Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (optional for onboarding)
• Badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations)

This position requires a highly qualified RN with CVOR experience, prior travel experience, and the ability to meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance standards. Flexibility for floating within the region and strong EPIC skills are essential.
