Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Position Details
- Accepting CRT or RRT credentials
- Must have 2 years of experience in the specialty (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
- Must hold an Ohio RRT license at time of submission
- NBRC certification and AHA BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Work schedule includes weekends as needed; may float to other facilities within the system
- Contract length: 12 weeks
Required Certifications
- NBRC (for CRT and RRT candidates)
- Ohio RRT License
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) - required for all candidates
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required for RRTs working in Emergency Department
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for RRT-NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - required for RRT-NICU
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID must be carried during assignment
- Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
- Transcript/Diploma verification required
- Competency exam specific to unit required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- HIPAA acknowledgment form required and must be updated annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform job functions safely
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific approved masks required)
- Negative 2-step TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start, renewed annually
- Immunization or titer proof for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
Work History and Experience
- Must include 3 years prior work history, with at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar specialty area
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually
Additional Notes
- Candidates may be required to complete online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours) on a computer using Chrome browser
- Badge pickup from facility required prior to start after completion of all modules and documentation
- Fingerprinting and onboarding processes vary slightly for candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU)
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
