Tele Neuro 2B Nurse - Gilbert, Arizona

Job Details

Specialty: Tele Neuro 2B
Location: Gilbert, Arizona
Unit Beds: 28
Shift: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or possibly every third weekend
Holidays: Work integrated into permanent staff rotation
Charge Nurse: Yes (does not take patients)
Nurse Aides: Yes
Floating: Cardiac Tele and/or MedSurg Oncology units
Floor Orientation: 3 shifts on the floor

Experience & Certifications

Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years
Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have travel experience)
Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Active Arizona nursing license or compact license
Additional Requirements:
- Must have Cerner experience
- Must be able to interpret EKGs (GE Monitors used)
- Dysrhythmia exam required prior to contract signing (max 2 attempts)
- Pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation (study guides provided)
- Proof of COVID vaccine required or approved declination form

Patient Care & Environment

Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
Ventilators: No ventilators on unit
Hospital Support:
- Intensivist available 24/7
- Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
- Pharmacy available 24/7
Common Diagnoses/Patient Types:
- CVA post TPA
- TIAs
- Head bleeds
- Carotid procedures
- Thoracotomies
- AICDs
- Post-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
