Required Experience

- NIH Certification (Group A yearly, Groups B-F every 2 years)
- Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80%, updated as per latest edition)
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required for flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Fit Test: Required annually (preferred prior to start)
- Positive PPD or IGRA with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
- Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Health Statement or physical exam prior to assignment and updated annually
Professional Requirements
- Resume/Profile submission
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually)
- Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days prior to start)
- Confirmation of assignment documentation (start and end dates)
- Ascension EPLS check (within 90 days prior to start)
- Badge photo (white or blue background, no filters)
This position requires a highly competent ICU RN with multiple certifications, immunizations, and compliance with Ascension Health’s onboarding and credentialing standards. The role involves caring for complex ICU patients in a 24-bed unit with a patient ratio ranging from 1:1 to 1:3.
