Job Opportunity: RN Critical Care
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- High acuity ICU setting (30 Bed SICU-MICU-Neuro)
- Care for fresh hearts post-op (CABG)
- Experience required with:
- Open heart surgery
- Neuro ICU
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Stroke care, TNK administration
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Schedule includes working every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating to other units expected if ICU census is low
- No return to office (RTO) for holidays
- Must be able to make up sick calls on weekends if called in
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- NIHSS certification
- Valid nursing license (Nursys verification)
- Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
- COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses + booster) or completed declination
- MMR immunity (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
- Influenza vaccine or declination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- TB test and annual TB questionnaire
- Varicella immunity (vaccination or titer)
- Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
- Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start)
Required Exams & Testing
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Skills Checklist (submission required)
- National Criminal Background Check (within one year of start)
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start)
- Color-blind test (updated annually)
Additional Requirements
- Social Security Card or Passport
- Physical/Health Statement (clear to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start)
- Prime Agency Attestation and Education Verification
- Prime Resume and two professional references required for submission
- Prime Badge Photo (clear headshot)
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP)
- Onboarding education attestation completed prior to start
