Job Opportunity: RN Critical Care
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care
- Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association) – Required for all direct patient care personnel
- ACLS (American Heart Association) – Required for RNs in Critical Care Units (CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, SICU)
- NIHSS
- License/Certificate Verification – Must be dated within 30 days of start, including state verification (NURSYS for RNs)
- TNCC – Optional
Required Professional Documentation & Compliance
- Trinity Code of Conduct Form (signed)
- Trinity I9 Form
- Confidentiality & System Security Agreement (signed)
- Integrity and Audit Services Form (signed shortly before start)
- Non-Employee Upload Form (specific to Iowa)
- Specialty Specific Competency Testing (completed within the last year)
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (signed)
- Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start)
- Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma verified)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) report dated within 30 days
- GSA/OIG Exclusion report dated within 30 days
- Joint Commission CORE Exam (within the last year)
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
- System Access Form (completed and uploaded one week before start)
- Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
- Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only)
- Iowa Sing Report (Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries check, within 30 days prior to start)
- OFAC Sanctions Check (within 30 days of start)
Required Personal Health History & Immunizations
- Fit Test
- Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (completed within 30 days of start, preferred within 14 days; must include MRO signature; excludes THC)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of booster by Sept 2025, declination or exemption accepted except for CA or IL)
- MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B (must have started vaccination series prior to start; titers not accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine (proof or declination/exemption with agency letterhead; declination not accepted for CA or IL)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB (within 1 year for some states, 5 years for others)
- Varicella (proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer)
- Physical/Health Statement (exam within last year confirming fitness to work)
- Trinity Color Vision Test
- Tdap Vaccine (current and non-expired; declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
