Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Garfield Heights, Ohio
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7pm-7am)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Must have 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel
• Must hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or compact state license

Certifications Required

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication competency test during orientation

References

• One recent reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for (Charge RN references accepted)

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required and must be carried on assignment
• Background checks including FCRA compliant 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) required and must be updated annually
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract; candidates can start with results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Education verification required for all candidates
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including Snellen eye exam (required for new candidates signing 4/11/2025 or later)
• Fit mask test (3M N95) required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents required: Tdap, TB test or chest X-ray, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine or approved exemption, drug testing (10 panel) within 12 months
• Annual completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment and unit-specific competency exams
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Pass/fail ECG and medication testing during orientation (SafeMedicate)

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
• Two references required from employment within one year of start, from management-level personnel (co-worker references not accepted)
• Candidates must be prepared for a rigorous onboarding process with non-negotiable requirements
