Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technician
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an X-Ray Technician with experience in Radiology/Cardiology for a 13-week travel contract. The schedule is 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
Requirements
Licenses & Certifications:
- Virginia Board of Medicine (VA BOM) license required (must have license or proof of application).
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
Preferred Skills:
- O-arm experience.
- Operating Room (OR) skills.
- EPIC electronic health record experience.
Vaccination:
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
- Medical or religious flu vaccine exemptions allowed but must comply with CMS guidelines and be approved with documentation.
Important Compliance & Documentation
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification.
- Various certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC).
- HIPAA and core safety training required.
- Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure required for applicable roles (e.g., Xray Tech).
- Physical exam within one year of start date confirming ability to meet physical demands.
- Fit mask test within last 12 months required (exceptions apply).
- Negative drug screen within 30 days of start.
- Immunizations and titers required: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, TB test or chest X-ray, Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
- Annual TB questionnaire required.
- Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption required.
Orientation & Facility Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgements prior to start (e.g., code of ethics, confidentiality, dress code, parking, infection control).
- Completion of online and/or onsite orientation including EPIC training modules (especially for OR candidates).
- Candidate must wear both agency and facility badges at all times.
- Candidate must complete vendor access request and facility background check processes promptly.
Prior Travel Experience

This position is ideal for a Radiology/Cardiology technician with at least 2 years of experience, appropriate licensure, and certifications, who is comfortable working a 4x10 schedule in a travel contract setting.
