Description

Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery RN (LTA)

Location: Albany, New York
Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, immediate recovery, and postpartum.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being.
Administer medications and coach patients through labor.
Assist during delivery and educate families on infant care.
Comfortable working in the OR setting and acting as baby RN.
Work within an LDRP model level 1 with special care nursery; affiliated hospital aligns as level 3.
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
Holiday/weekend requirement: Every other weekend; holidays discussed upon hire depending on time of year.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York (state-specific verification required within 30 days of start)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
