Position Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Cath Lab
• Start Date: Next applicable orientation date (3-4 weeks out)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum RN experience before travel assignments: 18 months
• Preferred RN experience: 2 years
• First-time travelers accepted: Yes
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Certifications Required

• ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Pending license accepted

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts
• On-call requirement: Evenings and weekends
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Block schedule accommodation: No
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Smoke-free facility: All travelers must be nicotine-free (negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine required)

Compliance & Documentation

• Background Checks: 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Fingerprinting: Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start
• State License Verification: Primary source verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start for all RNs
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine within 1 year of start
• Physical Exam: Completed within 6 months of start
• Immunizations & Health Documents:

  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • COVID-19: Initial vaccine series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Training & Orientation

• Online Training Modules: Must be completed by due date prior to start
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Administered during orientation, required for RNs
• Safety Manual Acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance required

Additional Notes

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; additions later may not be approved
• Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized and completed promptly
• Facility issues radiation badges to applicable candidates
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
