Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient (Days)
Location: Springfield, Vermont
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Job Description
- Provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for patients with various diagnoses such as post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance, and vertigo.
- Patient population includes those with:
- Orthopaedic and sports injuries
- Gait and balance training
- Fractures, sprains, dislocations
- Musculoskeletal dysfunctions
- Neck and back pain
- Neurological disorders (stroke, Parkinson’s)
- Bone and joint diseases
- Hand injuries
- Workplace injuries
- Pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence
- Pulmonary rehabilitation
- Typical patient load: 8 patients/day Monday-Thursday, 6 patients on Friday.
- Must be flexible to work inpatient PT as needed.
- Outpatient PT clinics are closed for major holidays.
- Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no more than 5 days allowed. Late requests will not be approved and may risk offer rescindment.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Physical Therapy experience (New graduates not considered).
- Education: Doctorate in Physical Therapy required; graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Licensure: Must have New Hampshire Physical Therapy license or compact license.
- Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Skills:
- Ability to treat all typical outpatient diagnoses.
- Previous rehab experience required.
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred (not mandatory).
- Experience with CPSI EMR highly preferred.
- Experience working with PTAs preferred.
- Other:
- Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available).
- Must provide updated CAQH and NPI after start.
- Work history, skills checklist (updated within 1 year), and a supervisory signed reference (within past 2 years) required at application.
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered.
Additional Information
- This is a small community setting.
- Orientation is non-billable with no overtime multiplier; holiday and call-back pay at 1.25x.
- Scheduling requests and time off must be finalized before submission; no changes allowed after offer.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive outpatient PT environment with a diverse patient population and a focus on individualized rehabilitative care.
