Job Description

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
• Facilitate diagnosis by applying appropriate skills.
• May have supervisory or instructional responsibilities as assigned.
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation per hospital policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Attend annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
• Maintain department competencies as required.
• Must have excellent patient care skills.
• Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• 10- or 12-hour shift requests will NOT be considered; candidate must work the posted schedule.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted; RTO must be noted and verified at application.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will NOT be considered.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in radiologic technology, with at least 1 year current experience.
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) Certification (required)
  • Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License (must have license in hand or proof of application; license will not be pended after offer)
  • BLS certification (required)
• Preferred: Experience with Meditech Expanse system strongly preferred.
• References: One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required.
• Skills: Current X-Ray technologist skills checklist relevant to the position.

• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required.
• Orientation includes 8 hours non-billable.
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply.
