Description

Job Opportunity: Home Health PTA

Location: Santa Maria, California
Specialty: Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active California License
- BLS Certification required
Work Setting: Home health care, assigned to a geographical region
Shift: Flexible, majority Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Holidays: Minor holidays off; major holidays only if needed
Uniform: Business attire with white lab coat; no jeans
Orientation: 1.5 to 2 weeks floor-specific orientation
EMR System: Cerner
Patient Types: Orthopedic, stroke, joint, spinal injuries, and speech patients
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with OASIS (government-mandated form)
- One year experience working in PT/OT/Speech settings
- Home health experience preferred but not required
Rehab Aides/OTA/PTA: Yes, usually permanent staff
