Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician (Traveler)

Location: Inglewood, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Assist in performing Angiography Examinations.
• Experience required in assisting with Line Placements, Angiograms, Kyphoplasty, Percutaneous Nephrostomy Exam, etc.
• Familiarity with GE Innova equipment preferred.
• Position requires RT(ARRT) certification.
• Work hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM plus call; ideally 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Required to take call daily for the first month.
• May include responsibilities such as precepting other staff.

Required Specialty Experience

• Interventional Radiology Technician experience (years not explicitly stated, assume minimum experience consistent with RT(ARRT) certification).
• Prior travel experience required (indicated by "Traveler" and call requirements).

Required Credentials & Certifications

• RT(ARRT) certification.
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training).
• Professional license verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start).
• Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years).
• Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
• Prime OIG and SAM/EPLS exclusion checks.
• National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date.
• Prime Resume and two professional references (one from a manager or supervisor).
• COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or declination completed.
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer (declinations accepted for this facility).
• Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer (declinations accepted for this facility).
• Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted at some facilities).
• Influenza Vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
• TB Test within one year of start date.
• Annual TB Questionnaire.
• Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray (optional).
• Tdap vaccination or proof of immunity/declination.
• Physical/Health Statement annually (must state clear to work).
• Fit Test (annual respirator fit test; must be completed prior to start if not available onsite).
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score).
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score).
• Prime Skills Checklist.
• Prime Orientation Packet completion.
• Prime Job Description signed by employee.
• Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification).
• Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test for CA locations, within 60 days of start).

Work Environment & Additional Information

• Position includes call responsibilities, especially daily call during the first month.
• May involve precepting new staff or travelers.
• Work schedule primarily Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts.
• Familiarity with specific equipment (GE Innova) is preferred.
