Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (MRI Tech)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• No call hours
• No weekends
• No holidays

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI tech experience (highest required)
• Siemens MRI scanner experience required (Vida, Aera, Skyra, Avanto)
• All exams: routine Neuro, body, MSK (No cardiac exams)
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

Licensure & Certifications Required

• ARRT (MR) certification mandatory
• AHA BLS certification required for all candidates
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as applicable (AHA only; RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred)
• National Certification/Verification prior to start and upon expiration
• State radiology license NOT required for MRI techs in Ohio

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Criminal background check (updated if break in service ≥ 2 months)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (monthly updates required)
• Transcript/Diploma verification
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (agency and facility fingerprinting required)
• Unit-specific competency exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment (updated annually)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask testing within 12 months, updated annually (specific N95 masks required)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start, with annual symptom assessment
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (no instant screens; 1 retest allowed for dilute results)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (10/31-3/31)

Additional Requirements

• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
• Employment application including 3 years prior work history, with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area
• Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours, must be done on a computer using Chrome)
• Badge pickup on first day (no photo submission required for MRI Techs)

Summary

This is a travel/contract MRI Tech position in Cleveland, Ohio, requiring at least 1 year of MRI experience with Siemens scanners. The contract is approximately 6 months long with weekday day shifts and no call or weekend work. All standard healthcare compliance, licensure, and immunization requirements apply. First-time travelers are welcome.
