Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (MRI Tech)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (flexible)
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- No call hours
- No weekends or holidays
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience (highest requirement stated)
- Siemens MRI scanner experience required (Vida, Aera, Skyra, Avanto)
- All exams: routine Neuro, body, MSK (No cardiac exams)
- Prior travel experience not required (first-time travelers accepted)
Licensure & Certifications
- ARRT (MR) credential required
- AHA BLS certification required (AHA RQI acceptable, non-RQI preferred)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as applicable (check with employer)
- State radiology license not required for MRI Techs in Ohio
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (monthly updates)
- Transcript/Diploma verification
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (agency and facility)
- National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (updated annually)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform job functions
- Fit mask testing within 12 months, updated annually (specific N95 masks required)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start, with annual symptom assessment
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (no instant screens)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31)
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
- Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical acute care experience in a similar area
- Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
- Ohio-specific BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation and annual updates
Additional Notes
- Badge photo and online training modules required prior to start
- Training modules take approximately 4-5 hours and must be completed on a computer using Chrome
- Modules must be completed fully (video and test) to receive clearance for orientation
- Badge pickup on first day for MRI Techs
- TB testing and other health documents may require renewal for annual compliance
This position offers a flexible 26-week travel contract with no weekend or holiday shifts, ideal for MRI Techs with Siemens experience seeking a work-life balance. First-time travelers are welcome.
