Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Days)
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- This position covers Medical/Surgical (MS), Telemetry (Tele), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specialties. Candidates must be comfortable working across all three areas.
- Experience in Medical/Surgical with cardiac monitoring is required.
- The facility is a small, rural hospital; rural/small facility experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and "hit the ground running."
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
- Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
- Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric.
- RN to patient ratio: Typically 5:1, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1, applicable for both day and night shifts.
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no RTO requests will be approved after offer. Up to 5 days of RTO allowed for the 13-week assignment.
- No non-billable orientation overtime. Holiday pay multiplier is 1.25%.
- Call and call-back are not applicable for this assignment.
Requirements
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 3+ years combined experience in PCU, Medical/Surgical, and Telemetry.
- Skills:
- Current skills checklist in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (all within the last year).
- Basic dysrhythmia test certification required.
- Licenses & Certifications:
- New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile).
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- References: One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
- Other:
- Must have own vehicle for assignment.
- Permanent address must be included in profile.
- Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required.
- Travelers who plan to work concurrently with another permanent or travel assignment or who require schedule accommodations (e.g., block scheduling) will not be considered.
Additional Notes
- A 48-hour guaranteed time is not available for this need.
- The facility is a 25-bed hospital with a 24/7 staffed emergency department, serving a rural community.
- Candidates must upload their New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate with their submission as required by state law.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable in multiple specialties, particularly those with rural or small hospital experience, who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
