Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Location: Germantown, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Facility & Work Environment

• Level I Trauma Center
• Short Term Acute Care Hospital
• Large hospital experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience required

Certifications & Licenses Required

• State License: Tennessee or Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for all candidates
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for ER and related units
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs except those at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit or specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) but not mandatory for ER specifically

Special Requirements

• Driver’s license must be included with submission
• Must meet physical demands of the job (physical exam required within 1 year of start)
• Fit test for 3M N-95 mask required (annual)
• Background checks including statewide, county, federal, education verification, sex offender search, and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry (for TN facilities)
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
• Immunizations: Proof of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB testing, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations required for agency tenure over one year

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
• Business casual with white lab coat for RN Case Managers (not ER specific)

Additional Notes

• Photo badge required prior to start with strict guidelines (passport-style photo)
• Must sign confidentiality acknowledgment prior to start
• Facility-specific documents and questionnaires may be required depending on experience (e.g., EPIC experience)

This position is ideal for experienced ER Registered Nurses with trauma experience who are ready for a travel contract in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
