Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
- Schedule: Variable days, 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM, every other weekend
- Work Area: Emergency Generals and Surgery area
- Experience Required: 3-5 years in Radiology/Cardiology (use 5 years as the requirement)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Licenses & Certifications
- Ohio Radiology License: Must have in hand or be willing to obtain prior to start
- ARRT Certification: Required
- BLS (AHA): Required and must be current
- ACLS, PALS, NRP: Required as applicable (check with employer)
- Tech Certification Verification: National certification required prior to start and upon expiration
- Fingerprinting: FBI and BCI fingerprints required within 12 months of start; must be completed immediately upon signing if not already done
- Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
Required Documents & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (required monthly)
- Transcript/Diploma verification
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific N95 masks required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start, with annual symptom assessment if applicable
- Immunization or titer proof for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (10/31-3/31)
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
- Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area
- Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint result attestation updated annually
Preferred Experience
- Siemens equipment experience preferred
Additional Notes
- Online training modules must be completed prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours) on a computer using Chrome browser
- Badge pickup occurs on the first day for X-Ray Techs
- Fingerprints must be completed through the agency and again at the facility on the first day
- Candidates with dilute drug screens are allowed one retest
- Physicals do not need annual updates if continuously working at the facility
This position is ideal for experienced X-Ray Technologists with strong compliance and certification credentials, ready to work in a fast-paced emergency and surgical environment on a travel contract basis.
