Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Apply the nursing process to patient care.
  • Teach patients and their significant others.
  • Document patient care in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.

Requirements

  • Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years (required).
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience (required).
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS (must have or be willing to obtain).
  • Oregon RN license (must have or be willing to obtain).
  • Skills checklist completed within the past year.

Additional Information

  • 16 hours unbillable.
  • Overtime multiplier: 1.25.
  • Ability to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract.
  • Comprehensive medical services offered at the facility, including pediatrics, obstetrics, oncology, diabetes, geriatric medicine, emergency medicine, and specialty services.
  • Employee health services include an in-house Nurse Practitioner for employees and dependents.
