Job Opportunity: Med Surg, Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used: EPIC.
• Orientation sessions available on multiple dates from March through December.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 1+ year of Med Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience (required).
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA) – required
  • BLS – required
  • NIHSS – required (can be obtained during onboarding)
• Preferred Experience:

  • Travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
  • High acuity care experience preferred.

Submission Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• Work history/resume (required).
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date (required).
• License verification (required).
• Copies of required certifications (required).
• One supervisory reference at time of submission (required).
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• NIHSS certification can be obtained prior to or during onboarding.
• The role includes potential overtime and holiday pay multipliers.
• Call back and on-call pay available.

State License Requirements

• Must hold an active Iowa nursing license.
• Compact license allowed.
