Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist

Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform minimally invasive interventional radiology techniques using radiological technology.
• Act as the first point of contact for referrals and patients.
• Attend patient consultations and perform initial examinations and assessments.
• Make recommendations to referring physicians, patients, and families under the guidance of the interventional radiologist.
• Conduct daily rounds and communicate patient progress to medical staff and radiologists.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Experience with heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI call, IVUS/IFR, and interventional radiology cases is required.

Certifications & Licenses

• Active Illinois state license (verification must be less than 30 days old).
• ARRT certification required (RCIS will not be approved).
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required at time of submission.

Other Requirements

• COVID and Flu vaccinations required; no declinations will be approved.
• Must have a 30-minute response time for call.
• Resume must list all facilities worked at.
• Skills checklist specific to the discipline (must be less than a year old).
• Two supervisory references completed within the last year.
• Certifications must be active at time of submission.

Additional Information

• EMR system used: Cerner
• Facility is a Level II Trauma center with private patient rooms and a focus on reducing infection and injury risks.
